Answers:
1. Is it possible to write on handmade paper?
Yes, it is possible to write on most varieties we sell. We recommend the use of a ball point, gel, or fine tip sharpie. We do not recommend using a sharpie or felt tip pen with our silk handmade papers.
2. Is handmade paper long-lasting?
Handmade paper lasts much longer than mill made paper because of its inherent strength due to dispersed cotton fibers.
3. Is handmade paper acid free?
Handmade paper by process is acid free but some colors/embellishments and exposure to sun for drying or the sizing may make its pH slightly acidic.
4. Can handmade paper be printed using laser, ink-jet or off-set printing methods?
Most of the handmade paper we sell can be printed on. We recommend the following guidelines
Celebration, Bluebell, Tahiti, Sahara, and Victorian Grass are compatible with most ink-jet printers. If printing on a petal paper, you will have a 10-20% shortage due to printing directly on a petal. This depends on the amount of text and the number of petals on each sheet.
Silk paper - We do not recommend using with any type of printer. The amount of silk content varies with each sheet - some sheets will print using an ink-jet printer but others will not. If using our Silk paper for invitations we recommend using them as a wrap or backing sheet and layering with our white or ecru stock.
Gilded Gold, Pearl, Platinum Metallic Paper - compatible with most laser printers. Not recommended for use with ink-jet printers.
5. Some invitations have the name or logo of the invitation company printed on it. Do yours?
Absolutely not! Your wedding is a special event for you, not a marketing opportunity for us.
6. Does your paper contain flower seeds?
No
7. Is your paper recycled?
Our handmade paper is made primarily from cotton and is tree-free. The paper we use for overlays and wraps is typcially not recycled or tree-free.
8. Where is your handmade paper made?
India
9. What is your minimum order for invitations?
Our minimum order for invitations is 25. The same applies to Ceremony Programs. Items such as envelopes and reply cards cannot be ordered without an invitation order.
10. Can I buy just the paper or envelopes from you?
Absolutely. We will also give you set up guidelines and printing tips to create your own beautiful invitations.
11. What does "Printed Outer Envelopes" mean?
It means that we print your return address on the back flap of the outer envelope.
